Conceptual Design: 'People and Gardens' Watering Lane Nursery

This design is a Social and Therapeutic landscape for People and Gardens at The Eden Project’s Watering Lane Nursery near St Austell. People and Gardens are a Community Interest Company that work with people who have a wide range of physical and emotional difficulties. They provide their clients with the opportunity to learn all aspects of growing and selling vegetables, within a working horticultural environment. This project is responding to the need for their site to have a cohesive design that promotes the therapeutic aspects of horticulture and directly address issues of accessibility and other user specific requirements. The primary aim of this design is to create an educational garden that showcases contemporary approaches to commercial horticulture and allows for the development of different levels of work based learning.
